Tomoka State Park
This Park is a surprise as you drive towards it
In northern Ormond Beach you would never expect a
place like this.
You drive from the cement city of Ormond Beach to
it's northern end and seem to go back in time

All pictures taken with my Sony Mavica FD-73

The Road to Tomoka Park

The first place you come to in the park is it's lake
Notice the fisherman to the left, Pam in the middle
and a row of canoes to Pam's right....$3.25 an hour

Another view of the lake

And another view...see the canoes ?

I liked this effect with the spanish moss

A little different view

Notice the solitude...noone knows about this place, pity

This oak tree is 2000 years old...really

A little closer....I loved this tree
Notice the heavy branch using the ground for support

The branch from a different angle

Now closer to the branch you can see it's mass

The Tomoka indian monument

Again

And again

Looking from the monument...it looks as if they filled
it with water at some point

Pam at the monument
See next to the fence behind Pam there is a little path
I turned around to take pictures and lost Pam to that path
She is always wandering off to explore
Then I heard her call me. Scroll down to see where I found her.

50 yards down the path I found her
Yup, that's her behind the branch. Can you see her?

From the same spot as the picture above.
I love the Mavica zoom

In Pam's hideaway

Here she is again...hiding in another place in the park

Pam thinks this is called lichen

Close-up of the lichen

Better go, she may hide on me again
