I arrived here in June 1962 for Sonar A School and Oceanography
School, which turned out to be a secret program actually
called Sosus, declassified in 1991
(Sound Surveilance System)
My stay here lasted until September 1963
 

This is how it looked back in June of '62
I've seen pictures of it later on with palm trees out front
and better landscaping all around

Remember the ball field??

And a little to the right was our beach patio

We started in this barracks
The movie theatre is to my left, school to the right

We had lots of fun in the base pool
